COMPOSITIONS
Scylla and Charybdis were mythical sea monsters noted by Homer; later Greek tradition sited them on opposite sides of the Strait of Messina between Sicily and the Italian mainland. Scylla was rationalized as a rock shoal (described as a six-headed sea monster) on the Italian side of the strait and Charybdis was a whirlpool off the coast of Sicily.
Composition for Clarinet, Harp and String Quartet. Based on the distortion created by fairground mirrors.
7 Movements for Solo Piano. These miniatures are not programmatic nor based upon specific Grimm fairy tales; the collection is intended to capture the darkness and unease portrayed in all of the stories. The different moods felt in each movement may take influences from certain traits of characters or stories, but are ultimately my reflections on the darker side of fairy tales.
